Data Retention

PetitionMatcher keeps information for as long as needed to operate the service and to meet legal, security, and dispute-resolution obligations. Retention varies by data type and by the systems that store it.
Account and profile information
Account and profile information is retained while your account is active and afterward for as long as reasonably necessary for operational, security, dispute-resolution, and legal purposes.
Matching results
Stored matching results stay associated with your account so you can return to results you previously generated or purchased. Paid results remain available while your account and the service are active. Unlimited matching reruns have no expiry date.
Deleted accounts and deletion requests
When you delete your account or ask PetitionMatcher to delete your information, some information may need to be kept temporarily or longer where necessary for security, fraud prevention, payment records, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and backup rotation.
Technical and security logs
Diagnostic and security logs are kept for a limited operational period and then discarded in the normal course.
Payments
If PetitionMatcher offers paid features, transaction records may be retained separately for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal obligations, even if the related profile is deleted.
Backups
Deleted information may persist for a time in encrypted backups until it is overwritten through normal backup rotation.
