This page explains, in plain terms, what information PetitionMatcher collects and how it is used. PetitionMatcher is in active development and this policy may be updated before a full public launch.
Information you provide
When you use the matching flow, you submit profile information such as your professional field and occupation, education and experience, a description of your proposed work, and answers about supporting evidence. You choose what to enter; most fields are optional.
Why profile information is stored
Submitted profiles are stored so that PetitionMatcher can generate comparisons against case information and so the service can be built and improved during development.
How your information is used
PetitionMatcher currently uses submitted profile information to operate and develop the case-comparison service. As the product develops, it may also be used to produce aggregated analysis.
Processing and service providers
Profile data is stored using third-party infrastructure providers (currently Supabase) that process data on our behalf to host the service.
Visibility of your information
Individual profile submissions are not displayed publicly on the site. Access is currently limited to what is needed to operate and develop the service.

Changes to this policy
Because the product is evolving, this policy may change. Material updates will be reflected on this page before launch.
